OldFitWrite

Syntax
int OldFitWrite(int fitfp,struct RadarParm *prm, struct FitData *fit,int *rtab);
Header
superdarn/oldfitwrite.h
Library
oldfit
Description

The OldFitWrite function writes a fit data record to an open file.

The data is written to the open file with the descriptor given by the argument fid. The data record is contructed the radar parameter block pointed to by the argument prm and the fit data structure pointer to by the argument fit.

The raw data records are limited to a maximum of 75 ranges. However the data could consist of more ranges than this and some form of mapping from the actual number of ranges to the (75)allowed in the file is required. This is done by using the rtab argument which is a pointer to an array listing which actual range each of the (75) allowed in the file. If this argument is set to a NULL pointer then no mapping is done and the first (75) ranges are used.

Returns
Returns the number of bytes written on success. On error, (-1) is returned.
Errors
On error, (-1) is returned.
