Syntax

padppm --help
padppm [-wdt width] [-hgt height] [-xpad xpad] [-ypad ypad] [-bgcol rrggbb] [name]

Synopsis

Pad the edges of a Portable PixMap (PPM) image.

Options

`--help`	print the help message and exit.
`-wdt width`	make the output image width pixels wide.
`-hgt height`	make the output image height pixels tall.
`-xpad xpad`	place the input image, xpad pixels from the left edge of the output image.
`-ypad ypad`	place the input image ypad pixels from the top edge of the output image.
`-bgcol rrggbb`	set the background color of the output image to rrggbb, specified as the hexadecimal value for the 24-bit red,green and blue component color.
`name`	input image filename. If this is omitted the image will be read from standard input.

Description

Resizes an image by adding padding pixels of the specified background color to image.

The padded PPM image file is written to standard output.

Examples

padppm -wdt 720 -hgt 486 -xpad 40 -ypad 3 -bgcol 000000 inp.ppm > out.ppm

Pad the PPM file inp.ppm to 720x486 pixels and store it in the file out.ppm
